Pastors Insist Golden Trump Statue “Completely Different” From Golden Calf Because This One Has Golf Access
Clergy clarify Old Testament prohibition only applied to “false idols without presidential immunity.”
DORAL, FL — A coalition of pro-Trump pastors gathered Thursday at Trump National Doral for the ceremonial dedication of a thirty-foot gold statue depicting President Donald Trump with one hand raised toward heaven and the other pointing toward the valet parking area.
Religious leaders participating in the event strongly rejected accusations that the ceremony resembled the idolatrous golden calf worship explicitly condemned throughout the Old Testament.
“This is not idol worship,” explained Pastor Clint Mercyfire while carefully arranging ceremonial offerings at the statue’s feet. “The Bible forbids worshipping graven images instead of God. This is worshipping God through an extremely expensive image of Donald Trump. Entirely different theological category.”

Several clergy members appeared briefly concerned after reading aloud the biblical phrase: “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath.”
Organizers quickly clarified the verse “predated social media and modern polling.”
Pastor Randy Dominion told attendees that comparisons to the golden calf represented “radical anti-Christian legalism.”
“Yes, there’s a giant gold object,” Dominion admitted while incense smoke drifted across the golf course. “Yes, people are kneeling before it offering symbolic gifts. Yes, there are burnt animal remains involved. But the key distinction here is patriotism.”
Attendees later placed offerings before the statue including gold watches, crypto wallets, tactical communion wafers, and handwritten prayer requests asking for lower egg prices and vengeance against late-night comedians.
One emotional supporter reportedly touched the statue’s gilded ankle before collapsing to the turf speaking in tongues and demanding deregulation.
The ceremony concluded with pastors laying hands directly upon the monument while praying for divine protection against “the demonic strongholds of fact-checking, wind energy, and insufficient masculinity.”
