Trump Blasts Pope Leo In Late-Night Truth Social Post

The new Chicago-born pontiff appears to be losing a feud he did not know he was in.

Truth Social post about Pope Leo
The post immediately converted a nonexistent papal feud into a fully active online emergency.

— It began, as these things now do, with a post.

In a late-night blast that lit up phones, feeds, and several group chats that were supposed to be quiet, Donald J. Trump declared total war on what he described as a growing scandal involving Pope Leo XIV—a scandal that, until that exact moment, had not been observed by anyone else.

“DISASTER!” Trump wrote, attaching an image he called “100% REAL PROOF” of Leo’s supposed ties to radical elements. The photo—now circulating at speed—appears to show the Chicago-born pontiff seated among red-clad figures in a graffiti-lined setting. Some observers have gently suggested the image might not be entirely authentic. Those observers were immediately outrun by the post itself.

Within minutes, the narrative was set.

Trump didn’t just criticize Leo—he defined him. “Lowlife LIBERAL stooge,” the post continued, marking the Pope’s rapid transition from global religious leader to active combatant in a feud he has not acknowledged, entered, or been formally invited to.

The Vatican has declined to respond.

Sources indicate Pope Leo spent the evening engaged in routine papal duties, including prayer, counsel, and not being in a street crew photo. Officials describe the situation as “not a situation,” though they admit they are now monitoring it as one.

Back in the United States, however, the momentum is unmistakable. Supporters have embraced the framing wholesale, treating Trump’s post as both revelation and verdict. “He exposed him,” said one man, declining to specify what exactly had been exposed. “You can just tell.”

As of this morning, Pope Leo XIV remains the head of the Catholic Church, a position traditionally associated with spiritual authority, moral guidance, and now—apparently—losing a fight on the internet he did not know he was in.
